Building Community Power

The CDC- funded Equity In OC Initiative was a multi-year, $23 million Investment Into Orange County. The OC Healthcare Agency partnered with Orange County United Way as an Intermediary organization and Ersoylu Consulting was brought on as a design partner and the Evaluation & Learning lead for the Initiative. The work was complicated and multi-faceted, having created six (6) diverse funding streams that funded well over 100 organizations during Its tenure. Using a Trust Based Philanthropy Framework the team worked to ensure that not only Social Determinants of Health were addressed, but that community power was supported and built to have a sustainable Impact for years to come. The work continues today, after the funding-- a true testament to community power.
